Operations Manager

For our client Gilbarco, we are searching for an Operations Manager to provide leadership of the overall customer delivery process for service and installation. Also to ensure that the organisation is structured from an operational perspective to deliver the requirements of the strategic plan, the budget and Gilbarco Policy Deployment goals in terms of customer satisfaction, overall customer delivery for products, services and installation and operational financial performance. ​

As Operations Manager, you will be reporting directly to the Nordic West Operational Director. Your main responsibility will be to ensure that all operations under the control of this position conform to all relevant requirements of local Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) legislation in Sweden and current company HSE policy in place for the region. This includes risk assessment, mitigation, HSE KPI reporting and active identification of areas to improve. Furthermore, you must ensure all direct reports are adequately trained in relevant HSE issues for their positions in order to maintain a safe working environment.​


  • Coach and lead your managers to become more commercially astute, fully realizing all profit opportunities.​
  • Drive performance management process for all associates in your team ensuring frequent, timely, and collaborative reviews throughout the year.​
  • Deploy the regional strategic priorities into the branch to ensure positioning of Gilbarco as the undisputed market leader in the region.​
  • Deliver Service and Installation revenue in the branch in line with financial budgets and forecast​
  • Drive continuous improvement in delivery, quality and cost to a position of ‘best in lean class’ and consolidate Gilbarco’s leadership position within the Scandinavian Retail Petroleum Market.​
  • Measure customer satisfaction and operational deliverables to drive a continuous improvement programme for business performance, responsiveness and process.​
  • Grow sustainable market share across all business sectors by delivering exceptional industry response times and operational performance. ​
  • Ensure that the overall response time provided by the operational function supports a customer service, which is efficient, effective and professional. ​
  • Continually improve the business by using a continuous improvement process and KPI balanced scorecard measurements to monitor progress and prioritize actions.​
  • Responsible for all field service activity, helpdesks, invoicing and administration related to the delivery of the service P&L


  • Having a master's degree in Business Economics and/or Engineering is a plus.​
  • A background in operations with significant customer facing experience.​
  • Knowledge and experience in developing new business through pitch and tender processes is a plus.​
  • Proven track record of consistent success within a dynamic, growth-oriented organization.​
  • Excellent skills in English and Swedish. ​
  • Awareness of appropriate Health and Safety and statutory regulations.​
  • Well-developed technical and project management skills.​
  • Proven motivational and people management skills.
